Yogis and Shamans
October 12–13, 2013
Yoga and Shamanism are the two most ancient technologies which study the human being and the experience of life itself. They are both deeply mystical studies and at the same time detailed in their science . In our first session we lay the foundation of the chakra system and learn how yoga connects it to the endocrine and nervous system. We learn yogic and shamanic techniques to clear the chakras and balance the energy body.
November 16–17, 2013
Both the yogic and shamanic traditions use the archetypes of power animals as allies, advisors and protectors. They teach us how the universe works and how to act in the world. We will study the chakra totem and discover the animals and their symbolism in Hindu mythology and yoga postures as well as the shamanic way of walking with your power animal.
December 14–15, 2013
We explore three profound shamanic journeys. We benefit from their healing and empowering process, as well as learn how to lead others through them. We experience deep Savasana (the corpse pose) coming to understand this posture as a portal to the underworld (the subconscious mind). We step into the Jaguar spirit becoming warriors and healers moving from the state of “I need” to the consciousness of “what can I offer.”
The Discipline of Freedom
January 11–12, 2014
In our fourth session, we take our deepest dive into the science and philosophy of Yoga as a path of liberation. We establish an understanding of the basic principles of Ayurveda, in order to be able to know more about our client’s predispositions. We take a look at Patanjali’s approach and understanding of human evolution and consciousness through the eight limbs of Yoga. We will study the yogi’s inner and outer disciplines and examine the Shaman’s take on the Yamas and Niyamas.
February 8–9, 2014
In this session we learn the mechanisms of energy and how to clear three distinct types of energies. These practices allow us to liberate crystalized prana from the energy body, making it accessible to us once again for our everyday life and in the designing of our dreams. Through the powerful Warrior’s Shield, we will acquire an energy field that protects us as we walk in the world, and while working with clients.
March 8–9, 2014
Our sixth session is all about our sixth sense of insight and the use of oracle techniques. We take a look at the use of the Tarot deck to gain insight into your past, present and future situation. In even more depth, we explore the use of the I-Ching, and how to draw information from Taoist wisdom. In this session we will also discover that not only do we receive information from the future through divination, but that we also affect the outcome of events through the use of sand paintings. We become the directors of our own life and future.
Tracking and Seeing
April 12–13, 2014
We learn how to track information through our client’s body language and aura. This helps us understand their condition, set priorities, and choose the appropriate tool for each session. We learn the method of tapping to awaken the connection of the pineal gland with the heart and with the parts of the body that have been disconnected. As an important complement to the consultation process, we will learn some helpful Ayurvedic home remedies and food supplements to share with our clients.
Using the Passwords
May 17–18, 2014
Each client comes with a story and specific words that bind them. We will learn how to identify these words, which we will refer to as passwords. Offering new words to our clients, we assist them to release guilt and inhibitions, enabling them to rewrite their story. We will provide our clients with a map to use in navigating a new way life. We also teach them how to create an altar and introduce them to the ideas of a spiritual life. In this session we will clarify the nuances of a Shamanic consultation as well as priorities and methodology.
Feathers, Rattles, and Drums
June 7–8, 2014
Celebrate our graduation by dancing around the fire as a tribe. We build a sweat lodge, and enter into our final purification as empowered healers. We learn the most auspicious times of the year to perform ceremony, how to lead men’s circles, women’s circles, and ways to honor the changing of seasons. We dedicate our prayers to the healing of the planet, humanity, loved ones and ourselves.
